Are there any specific elements of the planned improvements
that you would like to comment on?
Below
are the public's comments to the above question.
Although
we're probably talking different funding sources, I'd
prefer to see current roads adequately maintained and
plowed - rather than using city funds to provide amenities
for the Christian Center. KK

Do
not think this improvement is worth it at all. Is this
just a perk to the New Christian Center at 100th &
Minnesota? Why is a subdivision being planned &
platted in the wetlands along the north side of the
planned extension? This is ludicrous! Have C.O.E. wetlands
permits been obtained? BP

The
drainage needs close scrutiny. Use more RAP for bases.

I’m
glad to hear that C St. will also be extended about the
same time as 100th Ave. I was concerned about the impact
on the King/Dimond intersection, but it sounds like C
St. will take much of the traffic & allow better accessibility
to Costco. SZ Comments

Encourage
any residential development not be faced on extension.

Beautiful
landscaping is desired, especially along the north side.
Do you need any Type III or II fill for a surcharge? Make
sure signal at 100th Ave. & Old Seward Hwy needs are
addressed (and built prior) to road opening. Make sure
future needs for Arctic Blvd and Rovenna St. are considered.
Make sure any water/sewer/gas/electric/telephone needs
are addressed. Make sure adequate coordination occurs
with ADOT “C” St. project.

would like to see improved landscaping. JS

Please
look @ the operation of 100th & the Minnesota Dr.
ramps. Their proximity to each other allows little room
for queuing each way. KM

Looks
ok to me. Would be nice to minimize stoplights along C
St. extension. BS Comments

Looks
good so far. Like the bike paths! Roundabouts are ok.
Southport one works well.
JF Comments at 2/25/03 Open House
This
is a good start for East West movement in Mid-town, for
businesses and residential alike. Then 68th should be
next. PR Comments at 12/5/02

This
is a much needed project for this area of town. Trying
to access businesses in the extremely congested Dimond
area is very frustrating. I often just avoid the area
altogether, and dread it when I need to go anywhere in
the vicinity. Please, Please build the extension and provide
us with an improved alternative route! EE
