100th Avenue Extension
Minnesota to C Street

The Municipality of Anchorage (MOA), Project Management and Engineering Department (PM&E) is proceeding with a project to complete the 100th Avenue corridor between Minnesota Drive and C Street.

The east/west traffic corridors south of Dimond Boulevard are limited between the Old Seward Highway and Minnesota Drive. As a result, Dimond Boulevard is frequently congested with a high volume of traffic causing significant traffic delay.

This project will complete the connection of 100th Avenue to the Old Seward Highway. This will improve access to business areas south of Dimond Boulevard and reduce congestion on Dimond Boulevard. The 100th Avenue extension project will include pavement, possible curb and gutter, street lighting, storm drainage, a multi-use pathway, sidewalks, and landscaping.

Design is scheduled to take place in the fall of 2012 to the summer of 2013. Right-of-Way acquisition is scheduled for the summer of 2013 through the spring of 2014, and construction will begin early summer of 2014.
